TO DEMONSTRATE the many skills and creative imagination of Mr Nicholas Ellis Esq., a fine exhibition of his latest body of work – line and wash illustrations and video – is being held in Cambridge. Inspired by one of Mr Dickens’ finest works, Mr Ellis has illustrated the chapter headings from the novel, forty-eight in total. This event will be held at Mr Williams’ gallery at Dales Brewery, Nº 5 Gwydir Street, Cambridge.

Mr Ellis has other plans for these illustrations. As well as placing these images  throughout the hardback book, Mr Ellis is importing the imagery into his COMPUTER and thereby adapting them, with the application of PHOTOSHOP. These will then be imported into a program which will allow Mr Ellis the facility to animate them, so as to provide the most entertaining and educational presentation for use in i-Phones or e-books.

Ladies and Gentleman of discernment and taste are welcomed to attend the Private View on Friday 4th December at 7pm and indeed the recital of popular songs on Saturday 5th December at 7pm. Mr Ellis will also be greeting visitors to the CAM gallery with mulled wine during the Mill Road Winter Fair on the day of 5th December.

MR ELLIS & MR CONNELLY bring you the most sophisticated yet QUIET entertainment: popular ballads of the last three decades (The Beatles, Robert Dylan, The Eagles, Elvis, Everleys, Kinks etc.) with harmonies and humour. (We humbly suggest that The Geezers are available for entertainment at your establishment during the following CELEBRATORY SEASON for the most modest of fees.)

Known for his musicals ‘Lola’, ‘The Cambridge Evening Nuisance’ and ‘Pirate Jenny’ as well as numerous radio and TV appearances, Mr Ellis is currently working on ‘The Illustrated Hard Times’, a hardback book and animated DVD with his own musical compositions. Mr Ellis has performed throughout the United Kingdom with the covers band, ‘The Vibes’. He also enjoys ‘Stand-Up’ and a nice ‘Sit-Down’, as he is really far too old to be going in for this kind of thing.

Originally from London, Radio Q103 described Singer/Songwriter Mr Connelly’s solo work as somewhere between the Beatles and Squeeze, no surprise to those who know him through the Beatles’ cover band The Beatnxs where he played Mr McCartney for ten years. A highlight was opening International Beatles Week with Neil Innes and the Ruttles. Post Beatnxs, Paul has been seen taking his solo show around Cambridge and the local area.Mr Connelly is currently working on his fourth solo album.
